Work History

Damien works in the construction sector since 2012. After finishing his Ph.D. about modelling and controlling sustainable buildings in 2017, Damien split his time between KU Leuven and Boydens Engineering, part of Sweco. With his usual enthusiasm and energy, he embraced the challenge of bringing to practise and commercialising the technology Filip and he developed at KU Leuven. At Boydens, part of Sweco, Damien was the head of the Automation team, leading the exciting task of automating the design calculations in a Building Information Modelling (BIM) workflow.

Ambition

Damien’s vision and goal is to significantly reduce the tremendous amount of energy used to heat, cool and ventilate buildings by revolutioning the way buildings are controlled.
